One idealistic woman founded UIS on January 20, 2000. Its roots date back to Arlington, Texas where the conception for creation was invisioned by Tamara Joy Channel.
Definition of UIS
Uneek - (unique) Being the only one of its kind, solitary, sole; being without a like or equal; unparallel
Ideel- (ideal) A conception of something in its absolute perfection; considered the best of its kind

Sisterhood Facts
UIS Mission - We were founded to provide an opportunity for females to join a public service organization with a sorority ambience excluding college requirements; which will give them a chance to make a substantial difference in the community. In addition our goal is to provide inspiration and guidance for obtaining and maintaining a successful career.
UIS Motto - Nevertheless whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule and mind the same thing. Phil 3:16
UIS Purpose - Our pupose is to restore a positive image and build a brighter future for the young female.
UIS Duty - Our duty is to make sure that if my sister sunrises (starts) with me that she sunsets (finish) with me.
